One year ago this week, Xbox 360 set out to change the way we interact with games and entertainment with the launch of Kinect for Xbox 360. Sales immediately soared with more than 10 million Kinect sensors sold, setting the Guinness World Record as the fastest-selling consumer electronics device in 60 days along the way. But people were inspired not just to play; but also to discover, innovate and create. We call this “The Kinect Effect.”

Meanwhile in Japan, how about a waterfall clock? Functioning almost like a “water printer” that displays, not only the time, but intricate Japanese-style flora patterns, Osaka City Station’s water fountain technology is fascinating to watch. You can see another view of the installation here.
Thanks, Berthold.
There was a similar water feature in Raffles City but they’ve since dismantled it.
The re-made Chapel at Changi prison. Quite a large museum of the Singaporean experience during WWII. Lots of Singaporean, Chinese, Indian, Australian and American involvement. Much larger than I thought.
I used to live further down the street from the Changi Prison Chapel and Museum, on St John’s Crescent.
